Time is ticking to stop a war with Iran. In spite of Trump’s brief mention of further negotiations during his State of the Union address, a diplomatic breakthrough with Iran remains elusive and war preparations continue.
Right now, Trump has the U.S. military amassing an enormous fleet of aircraft and warships within striking distance of Iran. This is now the largest buildup of U.S. firepower in the Middle East since Trump illegally launched a 12-day bombing campaign against Iran last June that killed more than 1,000 people.
Experts fear that another U.S. military strike on Iran is imminent, and with an armada of this size, it looks to be a much longer and more massive ordeal than last June.
Time is of the essence, and to stop this war before it can be started, we need to ACT NOW!

“Hello, my name is ____________ and I’m a voting constituent from (your city). As your constituent, I urge you to support Rep. Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie’s bipartisan War Powers Resolution to stop President Trump from launching another unauthorized military strike against Iran. (H.Con.Res. 38)
In a recent poll, 70% of American voters said they oppose a military action against Iran. It is time for Congress to fulfill its Constitutional authority and vote to require authorization of any military action against Iran. I urge the representative to support Rep. Khanna and Massie’s War Powers Resolution.”
The resolution directs President Trump to “terminate the use of United States Armed Forces from hostilities against the Islamic Republic of Iran or any part of its government or military, unless explicitly authorized by a declaration of war or specific authorization for use of military force against Iran.”
Rep. Ro Khanna made it clear, “Congress must vote on war according to our Constitution, and I will be forcing that vote to happen in the House as soon as possible.”

Israel can fight its own wars of expansionist ambition and aggression. Anyone who votes against this war powers resolution will be forever known simultaneously as a coward and will have the blood of US servicemen and women on their hands. No longer will Americans be fooled by peaceful rhetoric while their leaders act in blatantly warmongering and violent ways. This will be the worst quagmire in our history. As a constituent, I will door knock and phone bank for anyone who declares their candidacy against an incumbent who votes to relinquish their responsibility as congresspeople to legislate on acts of war.
