Pitch In To Upgrade Congress
And Erase Trumpism For Good

Last Tuesday, Bernie Sanders won the New Hampshire primary. We knew he would. Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) activists voted overwhelmingly to endorse Bernie Sanders because he consistently distinguishes himself as the candidate most closely aligned with We the People.

Bernie can’t do it alone. That’s why he is committed to leading the mass movement we need to replace the unfair, unjust, and exploitative oligarchy with a New Deal that respects everyone, regardless of wealth or social standing.

Bernie will defeat Trump in November, but that’s not enough. He will also continue to mobilize millions and millions of us to reverse the damaging policies enacted by Trump, as well as the horrendous policies imposed on us by the Bushes and Reagan—and the self-entitled, pro-corporate, neoliberal neoconservatives from both major parties.

We must upgrade the Congress by working to nominate empowered, committed progressives in the primaries, and by defeating every single Cover Up Republican at the polls this year, in 2022, and every election year.

Stay Informed! Read PDA’s Recent Posts. Then, help us make progress on the issues and help elect the candidates discussed. With the primaries underway, now is the time to get fully engaged!

The Trump Administration continues building its racist, impotent, and demonstrably ineffective border wall. Parts of the wall blew down recently, and other parts involve desecration of Native American historic burial sites that had been protected by national monument status, but defiled by Trump’s folly.

Ignoring environmental, safety, and fair-bidding regulations, the Trump administration is using eminent domain to seize private land from Americans. Congress must act now to halt this dangerous idiocy.

While Trump remains the personification of the rigged system, he’s just the latest in a line of imperial presidents—virtual emperors who’ve subverted the will of the people, coddled oligarchs, and enacted a neoliberal and neoconservative agenda to the detriment of the 99%.

We must fundamentally change the status quo. The system is rigged. It’s not enough to just replace Trump as its manager. We have a huge task before us. Almost all Congressional Republicans and far too many Democrats enable and empower Trump. Help PDA elect the next wave of progressive champions who will empower our movement and deliver the fundamental changes we need.

Only Bernie with the backing of progressives in Congress will end the massive overspending on weapons and regime change wars. Bernie and our powerful movement will end unfair trade deals like Trump’s NAFTA 2.0, and other damaging, regressive policies.

P.S. The Nevada Caucuses are next Saturday—just one week away. The South Carolina primary follows, and Super Tuesday is coming up quickly.

Why not post pics of progressive congressional candidates here? They’re limited on petition signatures. We have Jon Ireland running against Joan Greene who is moderate in Disrtict 5, the winner runs against Andy Biggs! Progressives need help desperately.

Tell Congress To End Police BrutalityIn This Critical Moment, We See No Leadership From The White House We Look To Justice-Minded Members of Congress, to Step Up and Lead

Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) condemns ongoing, escalating violence against African Americans. We desperately need a national truth and reconciliation conversation to admit and rectify the scourge of structural racism, including comprehensive policy changes.

H.Res.988, cosponsored by four courageous congressional leaders, is a decisive first step. Join us demanding its passage in the U.S. House of Representatives.

In response to the brutal murder of George Floyd by a sworn peace officer, abetted and assisted by three other sworn peace officers in broad daylight, four U.S. Representatives have stepped up to lead.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN, in whose district the murder took place), Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA), and Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA) introduced H.Res. 988, a resolution to the U.S. House of Representatives, “condemning all acts of police brutality, racial profiling, and the use of excessive and militarized force throughout the country.”

Tell Congress To End Police Brutality

Take action now! Click Here to email your U.S. Representative and demand passage of H.Res. 988 as a first step toward seeking justice for George Floyd and so many others whose lives have been cut short by police brutality.

“From slavery to lynching to Jim Crow, black people in this country have been brutalized and dehumanized for centuries,” Rep. Omar stated last week. “We cannot fully right these wrongs until we admit we have a problem. As the People’s House, the House of Representatives must acknowledge these historical injustices and call for a comprehensive solution. There are many steps on the path to justice, but we must begin to take them.”

George Floyd is just one among the latest in a (much too) long list of victims of state-sanctioned terrorism against African Americans. We know the names of some recent victims, but for far too long records and statistics on extra-judicial police killings have not even been kept. For too many years, officers have not been charged, and—if charged—they have not been effectively prosecuted or convicted.

Email your U.S. Representative today and demand passage of the Omar-Pressley-Bass-Lee resolution (H.Res.988) condemning police brutality, racial profiling, and excessive and militarized force by police.
