There’s no question the Trumpists are coming.
They just crushed a Cheney, and are frothing for more.
We’re going to have to have not just any Democrat in the safe seats. We’re going to need people who will stand strong against the upcoming onslaught.
Even at his young age, Maxwell has shown he’ll not only talk the talk, but he’ll walk the walk: all the way to jail.
The first people to ask him to run for Congress were the folks who got arrested with him for peacefully protesting for racial and social justice.
It’s that kind of character and commitment that has garnered him a truly impressive list of endorsements:
From the Congressional Progressive Caucus and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus to major unions like the 57 unions in the AFL-CIO, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), National Nurses United (NNU), Florida Education Association (FEA), and the Orange County Classroom Teachers Association.
This on the heels of endorsements from civil rights icon Reverend Jesse Jackson, and growing support on the local, state, and national level, including from Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Ed Markey, BOLD PAC, the Brady Campaign, and the larger gun violence prevention movement.
There’s no question we’ll all benefit from a Maxwell win. Now we just need to help make it happen.
