Tomorrow, Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia are holding their presidential primaries. We need a great showing because the mainstream media will consider the results a referendum on Medicare For All.

We need to make as many Get Out The Vote (GOTV) calls as possible! Are you with us? Please Click Here to email Mike “Phone Guy” Fox and sign up to make easy, effective calls from your own home today, tomorrow, and all the way to Election Day and beyond! Too busy to make calls? Economists and health policy experts agree: We need Improved Medicare For All because it will save 10,000s of lives and 100s of $billions every year. A recent study published in The Lancetestimated that 68,000 Americans die each year due to lack of healthcare. The study also estimated that MFA would save Americans $trillions. These findings confirm what every recent study tells us. No wonder the American people overwhelmingly support MFA according to every single opinion poll. Now, we must force the politicians to listen!

PDA wholeheartedly supports the Medicare For All Act because this legislation will provide comprehensive healthcare for all of us including, mental, dental, vision, hearing, prescriptions, medical devices, preventative, women’s health, long-term care, and more—all with no out of pocket expenses: no premiums, co-pays, fees, caps, or deductibles.

Tell Congress To End Police BrutalityIn This Critical Moment, We See No Leadership From The White House We Look To Justice-Minded Members of Congress, to Step Up and Lead

Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) condemns ongoing, escalating violence against African Americans. We desperately need a national truth and reconciliation conversation to admit and rectify the scourge of structural racism, including comprehensive policy changes.

H.Res.988, cosponsored by four courageous congressional leaders, is a decisive first step. Join us demanding its passage in the U.S. House of Representatives.

In response to the brutal murder of George Floyd by a sworn peace officer, abetted and assisted by three other sworn peace officers in broad daylight, four U.S. Representatives have stepped up to lead.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN, in whose district the murder took place), Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA), and Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA) introduced H.Res. 988, a resolution to the U.S. House of Representatives, “condemning all acts of police brutality, racial profiling, and the use of excessive and militarized force throughout the country.”

Tell Congress To End Police Brutality

Take action now! Click Here to email your U.S. Representative and demand passage of H.Res. 988 as a first step toward seeking justice for George Floyd and so many others whose lives have been cut short by police brutality.

“From slavery to lynching to Jim Crow, black people in this country have been brutalized and dehumanized for centuries,” Rep. Omar stated last week. “We cannot fully right these wrongs until we admit we have a problem. As the People’s House, the House of Representatives must acknowledge these historical injustices and call for a comprehensive solution. There are many steps on the path to justice, but we must begin to take them.”

George Floyd is just one among the latest in a (much too) long list of victims of state-sanctioned terrorism against African Americans. We know the names of some recent victims, but for far too long records and statistics on extra-judicial police killings have not even been kept. For too many years, officers have not been charged, and—if charged—they have not been effectively prosecuted or convicted.

Email your U.S. Representative today and demand passage of the Omar-Pressley-Bass-Lee resolution (H.Res.988) condemning police brutality, racial profiling, and excessive and militarized force by police.
