The End Of Exploitative Prescription Prices

Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) demands Fair Trade agreements that respect the environment, labor, consumers, and democracy—not so-called “free trade” deals that give multinational corporations free rein to pollute, exploit, and dominate our lives. Click here to demand that any replacement for the NAFTA deal must eliminate proposed terms that would lock in exploitative prescription drug prices.

Tell Congress Not To Lock In Exploitative Rx Prices

The revised NAFTA deal that Donald Trump signed would lock in high U.S. medicine prices. Big Pharma rigged the rules: NAFTA 2.0 guarantees extended monopoly rights for pharmaceutical corporations to block generic competition.

This would tie the hands of this and future Congresses to change the policies that lead to high drug prices. It also would export these bad policies to Mexico and Canada.

We call on Congress to ensure that Donald Trump removes the Pharma giveaways from the revised NAFTA text before Congress begins consideration of the deal.
