What a night we had on Tuesday! Democrats were literally undefeated across the entire nation, including unexpected victories in Georgia and Mississippi! And our wins in New Jersey, Virginia, New York City, Pennsylvania, and California exceeded all expectations. |
So, what’s the next step? We must consolidate and build on this momentum in order to defeat Trump and the fascists intent on destroying our democracy. So, what is to be done? Well, that question – as essential as it always is – is never difficult to answer at PDA. For us, it’s onto the next contest, the next stage – and while that might be a campaign to pass legislation, or support a union struggle, or organize a new PDA chapter – in November 2025, it’s all about winning the special general election in Tennessee’s 7th congressional district by electing PDA-endorsed candidate Aftyn Behn! |
So, we’ll get an update about the race in TN-7, as we organize to support Aftyn’s campaign.
We’ll also look back to the great victories on Tuesday and assess their consequences for a progressive movement that once again has the wind in its sails. |
