Two of the country’s greatest progressive champions, Rep. Ro Khanna and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, headline PDA’s national Town Hall this Sunday at 4pm ET/1pm PT, along with PDA-endorsed congressional candidate Dr. Kristin Hook (TX-21) – as we kick off our homestretch campaign for the all-important 2026 midterm elections.

As of Sunday, there will only be 30 days left until midterm Election Day – it’s time to bring out the big hitters. Join us on Sunday to hear from Rep. Ro Khanna, Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Dr. Kristin Hook for Congress. 

Let all your friends, family, and co-workers know, and let’s have a full house on Sunday. It’s hard to summarize what these leaders have already done for the country.

Ro Khanna:

There is simply no member of the House of Representatives more conscientious, progressive, and forward-thinking than Ro Khanna: from his introduction of legislation that became the groundbreaking CHIPS Act that helped revitalize a major sector of American industrial production, to his championing of a 21st century economic bill of rights, to his standing up to the oligarchs of Silicon Valley – his home district, where he has become one of the main advocates for strong regulation of artificial intelligence, to his powerful declarations after witnessing the inhumane treatment of Palestinians in the West Bank recently, and perhaps most famously for achievement no other Democrat in Congress was able to do by forging a bond with Representative Thomas Massey and forcing the release of the Epstein files.

It should surprise no one that PDA recently called upon Ro Khanna to run for president, and we are thrilled to have this great progressive champion back with us on Sunday.

Keith Ellison:

We are equally thrilled to be joined by Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison. If there is any American politician who can stand beside Bernie Sanders as a trailblazing author of the contemporary progressive movement, it is Keith Ellison. At a time when the Progressive Caucus in Congress was weak, Keith Ellison, along with Raul Grijalva, laid the groundwork for making the caucus the powerhouse it is today.

An unrivaled analyst of contemporary American politics, PDA championed his race to become head of the DNC – and just as the world would be a better place had Bernie Sanders been elected in 2016, the same is true of Keith Ellison winning that election in early 2017. His work protecting the rights of the people of Minnesota, and by extension all of us in the United States, as the attorney general of that great state, matches the work of any lawmaker in the treacherous era of Donald Trump. It should be no surprise that the same state that elected Keith Ellison as attorney general was the one that made the most celebrated defense of its population against the brutality of ICE and contemporary American fascism.

Not surprisingly, the Republican Party is throwing millions against Keith in his re-election campaign this year, and he’ll explain what we can do at PDA to lift him to victory again.

Dr. Kristin Hook:

Also joining the call is Dr. Kristin Hook, running for Congress in central Texas. Hook is an amazing candidate who was raised in a working-class family and has a Ph.D. in Animal Science.

During the pandemic, she left the research lab and entered public service. She brought her scientific expertise to the U.S. Senate and later the NIH and Government Accountability Office. Running for the second time, in the now deeply gerrymanded Texas, she is seeking to end the rigged economy, broken healthcare system, corporate greed, and environmental catastrophe.
