This Sunday’s PDA Town Hall at 4pm ET/1pm PT will highlight a program by one of our great partner organizations, Be A Hero, founded by the legendary activist Ady Barkin.

Spencer Carnes, the Lead Distributed Organizer for Be a Hero, will join us to explain their new project: collecting testimonials from Seniors and their family members from across the country about their terrible and exploitative experiences with Medicare Advantage programs.

PDA is involved in its own ongoing campaign against Medicare Advantage programs, primarily through the Congressional liaison lobbying program of our partner organization, Progressives for Democracy in America.

Together with Be A Hero our efforts will gain further momentum!  This is a Town Hall no healthcare activist should miss! RSVP now!

After Spencer’s presentation, we’ll hear from Lisa Dekker, co-Vice President of Outreach for Puget Sound Advocates for Retirement Action (PSARA), who will share the exemplary work they’re doing at the state level to protect Medicare from corporate greed—a great example for PDAers to emulate in other states!

Then, in the second hour, we’ll celebrate the life of Daniel Ellsberg with testimonials from PDAers across the country. As part of that celebration, we’ll get an update from the Julian Assange Defense Committee, since one of Daniel’s strongest final requests was for people to come together in defense of Assange as they commit to protecting whistleblowers going forward.
