Join Us This Sunday at 4pm ET/1pm PT and Meet Two Brilliant Progressive Congressional Candidates: Shervin Aazami (CA-32) and Derek Marshall (CA-23)

The 2022 Primary season is upon us, and PDA’s election efforts are in full motion! On this week’s Town Hall, we’ll hear updates from around the country with a special focus on efforts to combat the corrupting impact of big money on the Democratic primaries. We’ll also hear from two great progressive candidates: Shervin Aazami and Derek Marshall.

In the first hour, we’ll be joined by Shervin Aazami, who is challenging Democratic incumbent Brad Sherman in California’s 32nd district in the San Fernando Valley (Metro LA). If you like your politics no-holds-barred, you are going to love Shervin. A passionate advocate for progressive politics, who has all the facts at his fingertips, Shervin builds spectacularly compelling cases for all the policies that PDA supports. Everyone I know who has heard Shervin speak comes away energized and more confident than ever that we can win.

Derek Marshall is building something special across the California outback, a powerful progressive campaign with a chance of winning. California’s 23rd district stretches from San Bernadino through the north Mojave Desert and up to the Sierra Nevadas. Conventional wisdom says progressives can’t compete there. But Derek is one of the masterminds behind Bernie Sanders’ spectacular win in Nevada in 2020. He knows how to reach hard-working people and persuade them that there is a better option for their needs than the Democratic establishment or the GOP reactionaries. Derek’s chances in the June 7th primary are excellent; and the prospect of a face-off versus GOP incumbent Jay Obernolte in November is delicious—and potentially transformational for progressives in rural and small town America.

You are not going to want to miss this Town Hall. Tell all your friends, family members, and co-workers to drop by too! Register here.

Hope to see you Sunday!
