Come Meet PDA-Endorsed Congressional Candidates Jonathan Jackson (IL-01) and Junaid Ahmed (IL-08) this Sunday at 4pm ET/1pm PT

On this week’s Progressive Town Hall, we will focus on the Midwest, Illinois in particular. What’s the state of the Progressive Movement there? What issues are resonating with voters there—in both the inner city of Chicago and out in the suburbs? What are the prospects for progressive victories, and how can we best help achieve that outcome?

In the first hour we’ll be joined by Junaid Ahmed, a progressive candidate challenging corporate Democrat Raja Krishnamoorthi in Illinois’ 8th district.

Then, at the top of the 2nd hour of the Town Hall, we’ll be joined by Jonathan Jackson, running to replace retiring incumbent Bobby Rush in Illinois’ 1st District. Jonathan is a national spokesperson for the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, a former Bernie Sanders surrogate, and the son of one of PDA’s greatest friends and allies, the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
