Amy Vilela is a passionate progressive, especially when it comes to healthcare.

Her daughter tragically died at the hands of our nation’s profit-driven healthcare system after she was denied care because she couldn’t provide adequate proof of insurance to the local emergency room.

This tragedy—along with her working class, single-mom upbringing, as well as her own experiences as a working single mother—have honed her progressive vision focused the importance of the social safety net, and how we must all take care of each other.

She worked her way through college while raising a family, and became a Chief Financial Officer in the business and not-for-profit worlds.

Her resume and passionate progressive vision make her a great candidate for Congress in NV-01.
