Progressive Democrats of America has an unrivalled record when drafting presidential candidates.  PDA changed history when we successfully drafted Independent Senator Bernie Sanders to run for president as a Democrat in 2016 – a campaign that launched the contemporary progressive movement.

Now, with our partners at Roots Action, we are weighing in again, calling on both Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and Ro Khanna to throw their hats into the ring and run for the Democratic nomination for president in 2028. Obviously, with two candidates in this instance, this call does not amount to an official endorsement from Progressive Democrats of America – which, as always, will require a vote from our grassroots activists – but rather an awareness that we will need at least one true progressive champion to stand for the Democratic nomination when it seems there will be multiple well-funded establishment moderates running.

We are more-than-confident that both Rep. Khanna and Rep. Ocasio-Cortez will be excellent progressive champions.

So, please sign our Petition calling on both AOC and Ro Khanna to run for president in 2028.
