Today, as we’re getting reports that Trump is planning to rescind the multinational agreement that prevents Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, we’re declaring peace. Achieved after long and painstaking negotiations between the US, our top allies, China, Russia, and Iran, this agreement has completely halted Iran’s nuclear weapons program. If Trump dishonors this agreement between the US, England, France, Germany, Russia, China, and Iran, it would undermine our national security, world stability, and our diplomatic credibility. Many believe Trump is playing politics with international stability. After repeatedly failing to repeal the Affordable Care Act, Trump apparently hopes to placate his restless far right wing base by taking this unwarranted, reckless action.
