PDA Activists Arrested For Women’s Rights. Solidarity, Sisters!

Dec 2, 2021 | PDA News

In solidarity with Danett, Laurie, and all of our sisters nationwide,

Mike Fox and Deb Schrishuhn for the PDA National Team

Stand with us as we Protect Women’s Rights to
Reproductive Freedom

We are so proud that PDA national staffer Danett Abbott and PDA FL SE Regional Coordinator Laurie Woodward-Garcia were among those arrested outside of the Supreme Court on Wednesday, while peacefully sitting in for women’s healthcare and reproductive rights.

They joined a large coalition saying neither the government nor any religion controls a woman’s bodily autonomy: only women do. Thousands of protesters passionately chanted “Not the church, not the state, patients should decide their fate!”

We’ve been in this fight for justice for years, as conservative states have been attacking a woman’s right to choose, and it’s looking like that fight is only going to intensify across the country.

PDA will continue to stand with our sisters nationwide, and we need your support to prevent the radical right-wing judges in D.C. and across the country from turning back the clock.

Please help fund our efforts and/or volunteer all you can to make sure we win this very serious battle for justice and human rights.

Thanks so much for anything you can do.
