An Abuse Of Power To Appease A Racist Base

We at PDA agree that there are emergencies facing our country.

Tens of thousands of people dying because they can’t afford to go to the doctor is an emergency.

Climate change causing natural disasters of record setting proportions and the devastation in their wake is an emergency.

Mass incarceration resulting in the largest prison population on the planet is an emergency.

Crippling student debt and escalating costs for higher education is an emergency.

Building a wall along the southern border when undocumented entry has actually been going down since 2000 (76% annual drop in 2018) is not an emergency!  It’s a political stunt that isn’t worthy of the office.

If Trump abuses his Executive Order powers to declare an emergency where none exists, we will not be silent!

Call your house member and senators now.  And let us know that you did.  No abuse of Emergency Powers when no emergency exists!
