This week has brought devastating news—and a call to action.

We are mourning the murder of Renee Good, who was shot and killed by ICE agents in Minneapolis while defending her neighbors. Her death has shaken communities across the country and underscores the escalating violence and lack of accountability surrounding immigration enforcement.

Renee’s wife said this, “I am now left to raise our son and to continue teaching him, as Renee believed, that there are people building a better world for him.”

This Sunday’s town hall will focus on two urgent crises:

• The ICE violence in Minnesota and across the country. I spoke today with a Minneapolis elected official who described a community overwhelmed by ICE activity as we speak. They are hoping to join us as a featured guest, though the situation on the ground remains extremely tense.

• Venezuela and the growing constitutional crisis in the U.S. One week after Trump ordered the abduction of Venezuela’s president and his wife, reports indicate significant loss of life and massive U.S. military spending in Venezuela and the Caribbean—raising serious questions about legality, accountability, and the path forward.

Because events are unfolding rapidly, we have not finalized featured guests. As always, PDA’s town halls are participatory—driven by your questions, insights, and the voices of organizers, experts, and elected officials working to advance a progressive future.
