Call Your Senators Re: Dental Coverage
And Join Our Healthcare Emergency Town Hall
Sunday, 4pm Eastern/1pm Pacific
At Progressive Democrats of America (PDA), we know that #MedicareExpansion by adding dental, vision, and hearing benefits is something that should have been done a very long time ago. In fact, as the gold standard for achieving quality and equity in American Healthcare, expanded and improved #MedicareForAll will, of course, include all of that.
But for now, and in these terribly troubled and divided times, we demand nothing less than benefits that cover all essential care, especially for dentistry, with no phase-in’s or cost-sharing, as has been proposed by some status quo Democrats in Congress, that will only add more financial burden, and more pain, suffering, and even preventable deaths in the process.
This week saw three of those status quo Democrats in the House, Representatives Scott Peters CA51, Kathleen Rice NY04, and Kurt Schrader OR05, cave into influence peddling by big pharma in their Committee votes on drug price negotiations. Let’s not let that happen now with proposed dental benefits currently being worked out in the US Senate.
Call your US Senators now, at 202-509-9128 and tell them that you want full dental benefits added to Medicare with no phase-in or cost-sharing, because that’s what President Joe Biden wants in his #BuildBackBetter plan, and that’s what seniors need, now. Share this tweet.
Join us for the PDA Healthcare Emergency Town Hall every Sunday 4p ET / 1 PT throughout the duration of the #COVID19 pandemic to discuss this and other topics of related importance. This Sunday September 19th, our guest speaker will be Director of Communications for the national Single Payer advocacy group Healthcare-Now! Stephanie Nakajima, who will review their “Road to 218 + 51” plan on Legislative Advocacy and their more recent European Healthcare Project.
Also sign up to volunteer for other healthcare projects and/or donate as well if you are able.
We are the ones we have been waiting for.
Thanks, and onward!
