Trump must go, and we all agree on that point. He was never qualified for public service. He is single-handedly endangering lives by promoting unfounded, bizarre conspiracy theories. We’re not just complaining about Trump and his Trumpublican enablers. Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) is mobilizing to end Trump’s (and Mitch McConnell’s) reign of error, but we need your help now.

PDA is essential, uniquely qualified, and well-positioned to demand sensible, science-based responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, the climate emergency, social and economic inequality, imperial foreign policy, money-drenched elections, and corporate rule.

We’ve been holding webinars with progressive candidates and experts. We’re organizing support for the best legislation, and working with coalition partners to demand the policies we need. Of course we must thwart and defeat Trump, McConnell, and their cohorts to save lives and protect the well-being of all Americans. Are you in?

Tell Congress To End Police BrutalityIn This Critical Moment, We See No Leadership From The White House We Look To Justice-Minded Members of Congress, to Step Up and Lead

Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) condemns ongoing, escalating violence against African Americans. We desperately need a national truth and reconciliation conversation to admit and rectify the scourge of structural racism, including comprehensive policy changes.

H.Res.988, cosponsored by four courageous congressional leaders, is a decisive first step. Join us demanding its passage in the U.S. House of Representatives.

In response to the brutal murder of George Floyd by a sworn peace officer, abetted and assisted by three other sworn peace officers in broad daylight, four U.S. Representatives have stepped up to lead.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN, in whose district the murder took place), Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA), and Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA) introduced H.Res. 988, a resolution to the U.S. House of Representatives, “condemning all acts of police brutality, racial profiling, and the use of excessive and militarized force throughout the country.”

Tell Congress To End Police Brutality

Take action now! Click Here to email your U.S. Representative and demand passage of H.Res. 988 as a first step toward seeking justice for George Floyd and so many others whose lives have been cut short by police brutality.

“From slavery to lynching to Jim Crow, black people in this country have been brutalized and dehumanized for centuries,” Rep. Omar stated last week. “We cannot fully right these wrongs until we admit we have a problem. As the People’s House, the House of Representatives must acknowledge these historical injustices and call for a comprehensive solution. There are many steps on the path to justice, but we must begin to take them.”

George Floyd is just one among the latest in a (much too) long list of victims of state-sanctioned terrorism against African Americans. We know the names of some recent victims, but for far too long records and statistics on extra-judicial police killings have not even been kept. For too many years, officers have not been charged, and—if charged—they have not been effectively prosecuted or convicted.

Email your U.S. Representative today and demand passage of the Omar-Pressley-Bass-Lee resolution (H.Res.988) condemning police brutality, racial profiling, and excessive and militarized force by police.
