Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) deplores the Trumpublican racist politics of hate. Several top-level Republicans are on record advocating for voter suppression, almost always along racial lines.

One person one vote is the essence of democracy, but—as the primaries and caucuses draw near—our electoral systems fall far short of that ideal.

During this all-important election year, we must make sure that every voter is allowed to vote without interference, and that their votes are counted accurately.

Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) has been committed to supporting clean, fair, inclusive, and accurately-counted elections since our founding in 2004.

As our first major effort weeks after our launch, PDA worked with allies investigating and publicizing wholesale elections “irregularities” in Ohio. We’ve never lost sight of this imperative.

As voters prepare to participate in primaries and the general election, we need your sustaining support right now to maintain our ongoing efforts to protect and promote voters’ rights! During past election cycles, PDA’s founding Advisory Board member and renowned fair and accurate elections activist Mimi Kennedy has prepared voters’ “survival kits,” i.e. specific, concrete advice to help voters protect their rights and prevent their disenfranchisement.

Mimi asserts that only a well-informed voter is able to detect and overcome voter registration purges, unauthorized changes to their party affiliation, and other threats to participation in our democracy. Mimi has taken it upon herself to once again forewarn voters as the primary season rapidly approaches.

We’re proud to support the highly-effective coalition organizing by our sibling organization, People Demanding Action, led by the brilliant Andrea Miller. As Executive Director, Andrea brings together several organizations to help voters overcome barriers to participation, to protect our rights to vote, and to have our votes counted accurately.

With your generous support, PDA will not only maintain our election protection efforts; we will also launch an ambitious new voter information and outreach campaign.

We’re already making plans to use traditional and social media, cutting-edge technology, and sheer hard work to push back against confusion, glitches—and yes—premeditated efforts that would otherwise disenfranchise voters during this most critically important election cycle.

We need your support for these efforts to succeed. Please pitch in generously now to sustain PDA’s ongoing and expanding work to ensure voters’ rights! We can’t do anything without you. We need your continuing commitment. Now is the time to invest in voting rights with automatic sustainer donations!
