This week Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) celebrated a huge double progressive victory in Michigan as Rashida Tlaib won two nominations—to complete the remained of Rep. John Conyers’ term in a special election, and to serve in Congress representing Michigan’s 13th District. PDA joined with our close allies National Nurses United (NNU) and Food & Water Watch (FWW) announcing our scorecard to encourage members of Congress to cosponsor important legislation on healthcare, the environment, the economy, and more.

We’re mobilizing within a massive movement putting pressure on Congress to abolish and replace ICE, and to defend Internet Freedom. We’ve also part of a coalition working to free journalist Manuel Duran Ortega. We’re organizing in support of the DNC reform proposals with progressives around the country to make the Democratic Party much more democratic leading up to the big meetings in Chicago.
