Demand Accountability For Trump

This past week, Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) called upon you to join us standing up against bullying by Trump. It’s not news that Donald Trump is a bully. He has used every means at his disposal to shut down dissent, undermine independent reporting, and threaten other basic First Amendment rights. His attacks on Reps. Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and others are just the latest in a long line of outrages. 

From Trump’s unconstitutional Muslim ban, to praising white supremacist thugs, to inciting violence against our Latinix sisters and brothers, to his racist taunts against members of Congress, Trump has relentlessly degraded our political discourse.

As former Representative (and former Republican) David Jolly explained on MSNBC this morning, Trump attacks what makes America good. From the beginning, PDA has helped lead efforts to hold Trump accountable.

The Koch Brothers promote Junk Climate Science to perpetuate suicidal policies including subsidies and blocking necessary steps re: the Climate Emergency. The Koch network uses its wealth and influence within universities and pseudo-scientific organizations to spread doubt about the climate crisis. The Student Debt Crisis looms as a dark cloud over our economy. PDA Executive Director Alan Minsky reports, “Senator Bernie Sanders and Rep. Ilhan Omar introduced legislation to cancel all outstanding student debt; their bills compliment parallel legislation that would make all public state and community colleges tuition free.”
