We Need Debates About The Real World!
Questions About Poverty And Homelessness
A Complete Debate On The Climate Emergency
This past week, Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) has been busy demanding common sense gun safety reforms, supporting efforts to hold Trump accountable, protecting DREAMers, helping progressive candidates, advancing Medicare For All, and more!
Additionally, we’ve been horrified and angered both by ongoing, illegal regime-change policies and the suppression of dissent.
Our founding national advisory board member Medea Benjamin (Code Pink Cofounder) was singled out for police harassment at her home for the “crime” of advocating for peace. Join with PDA standing up for the freedom of expression.
The Washington Post and MSNBC will host the 5th Democratic debate Wednesday November, 20. The coverage will begin 8pm ET, 5pm PT, and the debate itself will be from 9pm-11pm ET, 6pm-8pm PT. Follow @PDAmerica on Twitter, and live tweet the debate with us!

PDA is working with a powerful coalition on a new campaign to Cancel Student Debt. PDA Executive Director Alan Minsky reports, “Senator Bernie Sanders and Rep. Ilhan Omar introduced legislation to cancel all outstanding student debt; their bills compliment parallel legislation that would make all public state and community colleges tuition free.”
Alan explains, ”If passed, these bills would solve a massive crisis that has been suffocating the American economy and burdening the lives of 45 million working and middle class Americans.”
Last week, PDA continued organizing for progressive candidates including our progressive champions like Rashida Tlaib and exciting challengers like Betsy Sweet.
