Every Vote Counts!

PDA members are on the ground, in the trenches in Florida, Georgia, and California, helping to make sure that every vote counts.

While the battle in the courts is far from over, the good news coming out of the complexity of Florida vote counting is that Rick Scott’s bluster over voter fraud has been countered by law enforcement and the courts. But it looks like there will still be a battle over the deadline for certification.  (Currently Nov. 20, but those who actually want to see all the votes counted are putting up a good fight to extend that.)  PDA member attorneys are volunteering their time, as well as a massive wave of citizen observers.

PDA volunteers are also in the game in Georgia, as the insanity of a candidate for governor being in charge of an election has finally been addressed, and all will fight to minimize the record disenfranchisement there.

And Dr. Bill and crew are working to make sure the laboriously slow counting process in CA will be insure that all ballots are counted, not only because it’s just the right thing for democracy, but because when all ballots are counted, Democrats usually have the advantage.  We look forward to this approach bringing in wins for 3 of our 4 endorsed House candidates.

Please help us complete these important jobs not only for the progressive movement, but for democracy in general by contributing as much as you can, right now.

Can’t contribute financially?  Then please join my phone team that is pushing our members out to be involved in these vital activities.

Thanks so much for anything you can do.
