First, many thank to you if you knocked doors, made calls, attended events, donated, or helped Aftyn Behn in other ways in her special election in TN-07 this past Tuesday.

While we didn’t get the win we were looking for, there’s no question we got a huge win for the movement, in general. A MASSIVE shift of 12 points in Dem performance over Trump 2024 — 7 to 20 percentage points more blue in every county in the district — was made possible by a truly inspirational candidate not afraid to stand for progressive issues against corporate corruption and dark money lies, and a solid grassroots effort on the phones and at the doors. Human to human contact is the key to the movement’s continual growth, and Aftyn’s campaign — on the heels of the people-powered campaign by Zohran Mamdani in NYC — shows us the momentum we need to continue to build into 2026.
