On the eve of July 4th, America is at a dangerous crossroads. As we speak, Democrats are staving off Trump’s big, ugly bill. 

Today, an op-ed in The Hill described, the true uglinesss of this massive giveaway to the 1%, while screwing over the working class, the poor, and the planet.  

Combined with Trump’s tariffs, the bill will “reduce the living standards and raise costs for millions of families with modest incomes,” according to the respected Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. The original House bill would cause 16 million Americans to lose health coverage and become uninsured by 2034 because of the Medicaid cuts in the bogus bill. 

Join us tonight as we discuss our next steps as a leading organization in the progressive movement. MAGA wants to take healthcare away. We aim to ensure that we have Medicare for All.

While MAGA makes America hungry, PDA is fighting to ensure every American has a good job, a livable planet, and a place to call home. 

We have work to do in the days ahead. PDA-endorsed progressive and proven candidate Adelita Grijalva in Arizona is expected to be in a close race. The last day to vote in the special election primary is July 15. Tonight, we will also be discussing attacks on the 1964 Civil Rights Bill and how we must respond.  

If we continue to organize together, we can win back Congress next year, make the Democratic Party more progressive, and short-circuit MAGA’s awful agenda for America.
