Today we mourn Dr. King, but stand strong for his vision. Join us.
Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
—Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
On April 4th, 1968, at 6:01 p.m. CST, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was assassinated.
His life and tragic death taught us much, but we all still have far to go to realize his dream.
We started PDA in 2004 to honor the progressive vision that his actions embodied, and we are proud to continue to combat those forces that seek to take us backward, every single day.
It’s a long haul. Nobody has put this challenge into better focus than Dr. King himself when he said, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”
And it is in honor of that hopeful vision that we ask you to become a monthly sustainer today.
We may not get there tomorrow. We may not get there next week. But we will get there, together!
Thank you so much for any help you can provide.
