This Sunday Town Hall: Onto St. Louis and Chicago! RSVP now.

Jul 5, 2024 | PDA News

Join us this Sunday at 4pm ET/1pm PT for our weekly Town Hall. We will look forward to our progressive priorities for the next couple of months: defending Squad members and making sure Progressives are heard during DNC week in Chicago. RSVP Now!

Yes, these are strange and trying days in American politics. But as attention becomes hyper-focused on the Presidential race, we at PDA understand we cannot be distracted from our primary purpose—elevating the progressive agenda, and progressive candidates—because progressives offer the solutions we need in contemporary American society.

So, on this week’s Town Hall we’re going to re-focus on some essential Congressional races on the horizon—most particularly the defense of two Squad members: Ilhan Omar in the Twin Cities and Cori Bush in St Louis.

We will also go deeper into our plans for DNC week in Chicago when PDA will be convening Progressive Central 2024 in order to remind the American public that the progressive wing of the Democratic Party has the solutions to the most important issues facing the country and the planet.

See you this Sunday. RSVP Now!

In solidarity,

Alan Minsky for the PDA National Team

We progressives cannot afford purity this year. I never thought I would say that, but for once it is clear to me I must not vote for a likely spoiler, even here in Vermont. I do not want it on my conscience that I helped a single Republican get in.

When I was a Californian, I also never understood that ranked-choice voting could help in this situation. I have gone from being opposed to it because I could not learn enough about so many people to now being for it because, even though Vermont does not have it yet, I see that one would be able to vote on the basis of party rather than person without causing a bad outcome. It is the present system that is forcing me to research two dozen people and figure out which ones are potential spoilers.
