This Sunday: Rep. Jamie Raskin on PDA’s Town Hall
Jamie Raskin, one of the most influential progressives in Congress, joins our Town Hall this Sunday at 4pm et/1pm pt. RSVP Now!
You don’t want to miss this Sunday’s Town Hall. Our guest in the first hour, Rep. Jamie Raskin, is not only a progressive champion and one of the leading defenders of American democracy, he is also an incisive analyst of American society. You will leave the Town Hall wiser, with a deeper understanding of our current political crisis, and how progressives can best navigate our constitutional system to create the change that we want and need.
Indeed. Jamie Raskin is probably the most effective champion, at this difficult historical moment, of the U.S. constitutional system and our Democratic Republic. As such, Jamie doesn’t minimize the threat that Trump and MAGA represent. Rather, he amplifies it; and when he does, it’s as if he is channeling the authors of the Federalist Papers. Unlike most of his contemporaries, Jamie fully grasps how all democracies and open societies are fragile. Thus, he has no choice but to be on the front lines against Trump. Like Thomas Paine and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Jamie understands the limitless promise of “government of the people, by the people, for the people.” It is a beacon that Jamie and PDA will not allow to be extinguished.
RSVP now for Sunday’s super-special Town Hall with Jamie Raskin.
Also, in the second hour of the Town Hall, we’ll be joined by David Mandel, a PDA-endorsed candidate running for the U.S. House of Representatives in California’s 7th district.
See you on Sunday. RSVP here.

Rep Raskin has done some good things concerning supporting the Constitution, but he is very pro-Israel. Unlike many congresspeople I respect that he has at least addressed the Israel-Palestine issue with some 14-press releases since October 7.
But he has never acknowledged, let alone condemned, Israel’s genocide of Palestinians or mention that there has been 75 years of severe oppression and occupation of Palestinians. Whenever he addresses the humanitarian crises of Palestinians it is only after a cry for the release of hostages as if that has to happen first.
The IDF is the only one killing hostages, who would be released with a serious ceasefire. But Rep Raskin never joins in the call for a permanent or serious ceasefire!
Raskin joins Netanyahu in hating Hamas, but investigative research has found that the IDF probably killed most of the civilians on October 7th with Apache helicopters indiscriminately firing on people running away at the music festival and blowing homes in several Kibbutz via tank fire while knowing there were many hostages.
