This Sunday: Organizing to Block the Trump Agenda w/ Erica Payne, Erika Andiola, and Patti Serrano
Join us Sunday at 4pm ET/1pm PT for our weekly PDA Town Hall when we’ll be Organizing to Stop the Fascists and Oligarchs with featured guests Erica Payne from the Patriotic Millionaires and Immigrant Rights Organizers Erika Andiola and Patti Serrano. RSVP Now!
When we meet for our Town Hall on Sunday, it’ll be less than 24 hours until Donald Trump is sworn in as President. But as disturbing as that event may be, it will occur on the same day that the nation celebrates the life of the greatest activist/organizer in American history, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We know whose lessons we have to heed.
So, this Sunday’s Town Hall is all about organizing to block Trump’s agenda, and the groundwork for a better tomorrow of solidarity and peace.
First, we’ll be joined by one of the most inspiring, tireless, and well-informed champions of economic fairness in the country, Erica Payne, founder and President of the Patriotic Millionaires. Erica will let us know how the Patriotic Millionaires are organizing to thwart Trump’s wishes to pass an even-more reactionary tax bill, and make unprecedented cuts to essential Federal agencies as well as social services. And, since Sunday isn’t about passive listening but active doing, we’ll learn how PDA and all of our allies can join with Patriotic Millionaires to build a unified front that can persuade a clear majority of Americans to oppose Trump’s agenda.
Than we will be joined by two more brilliant organizers, Erika Andiola and Patti Serrano, who will update us on how PDA and everyone of us can best join the nationwide movement, active in every community, to protect, defend and support America’s vast immigrant working class, without whom this country wouldn’t function.
Now is not the time to despair, but to express and practice solidarity! Just like MLK!
Join us this Sunday at 4pm et/1pm pt. RSVP Now!
We look forward to seeing you, and invite a friend or two!
In solidarity,
Alan Minsky for the PDA National Team
