This Sunday: How Progressives Can Save the Democratic Party

Nov 29, 2024 | PDA News

Join us Sunday at 4pm ET/1pm PT for a very important Progressive Strategy Session. The Democratic Party is at a crossroads. What steps should progressives take to make sure the Party chooses the right direction? RSVP Now!

At the end of January, the Democratic National Committee will meet to choose its next leader – and this is setting up to be a monumental decision. In the wake of terrible general election results, there is more of a leadership void in the Party than any time in recent memory, and there are two opposing factions vying for leadership: the neo-liberal establishment (aka the ”moderates”), and the progressives.

The neo-liberals have all the big money donors backing them, plus they’ve been in charge of the Party for decades. Progressives, however, have all the best arguments as to why they should lead the Party, most notably, the fact that Democratic voters overwhelmingly support progressive policies.

So, it’ll be a familiar battle – the people vs the money. It’s sad to say, but usually we lose this battle – but this time we really need to make a stand because all evidence suggests that the neo-liberals will be unable to defeat the proto-fascist GOP going forward.

This Sunday, PDA launches its campaign to increase progressive influence inside the Democratic Party.  We’ll outline our vision for the Democratic Party, grounded in policies that will transform American society in ways the general public support. That’s a winning hand for the Party, the people, and the planet.

Join us on Sunday at 4pm ET/1pm  PT. RSVP here.
