Today Begins The Last Month Of 2018
Help Us Build Up Momentum For 2020!
Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) had another busy week. We relaunched our Run Bernie Run campaign, and joined with leading progressives in Vermont at the Sanders Institute planning for success on the issues we all care about. We’re working with our partners for progress moving into 2019, and building capacity to expand on our midterm electoral victories in 2020. If you haven’t already, please sign and share our Run Bernie Run 2.0 petition. Read more about our campaign at CommonDreams.
Please Give Now To Support Progress Into 2020!
PDA is prioritizing our work to end wars and occupations and enact Medicare for All with our Healthcare Not Warfare (HNW) Campaign during “December, A Month For Peace.” Please join the PDA Phone Team making easy, effective calls from your own home with Mike “Phone Guy” Fox to help out! No time to make calls? Please pitch in to support HNW phone banking, mobilization materials, and other organizing efforts.
Our efforts are working! Bernie Sanders’ resolution to end U.S. involvement in the atrocities against the Yemeni people survived GOP procedural efforts to kill it this past week, and is moving ahead. There will be important votes next week. Please join us supporting Bernie’s resolution. please contact your Senators and urge them to support Bernie’s legislation to end the war in Yemen. (Note: please remain patient if the action alert system is still connecting you with a recently defeated or retired Senator or Representative. Updates are in progress.)
PDA Advisory Board member Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is leading the way in the House. Please join PDA in supporting her call demanding an end to the slaughter in Yemen. Please sign the petition to support Tulsi’s resolution to end U.S. involvement in the atrocities against the Yemeni people. As she explains:
“Despite Saudi Arabia’s genocidal war in Yemen, killing thousands of civilians—bombing wedding parties and children in a school bus—Secretary Pompeo still certified that the Saudi-led coalition is taking steps to ‘reduce the risk of harm to civilians.’ The US has been saying this for years to justify their blind support for Saudi Arabia’s atrocities. We must end our support for this devastating interventionist war NOW.”
PDA’s work for Improved Medicare for All continues as we wrap up 2018 and organize for the new 116th Congress. Please contact your representative and urge him or her to join the Medicare for All Caucus. The caucus is moving ahead organizing panels and other events to help us achieve Medicare For All!
Stunning new revelations from Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen exposed widespread Trump wrongdoing. We demand answers. If you agree it’s “Time To See Trump’s Tax Returns” please sign this petition. If you want the incoming Democratic House to Impeach Trump, please sign this petition.
Reminder: Affordable Care Act (ACA) Open enrollment ends December 15th. If it would help you gain access to healthcare, sign up for ACA coverage until we can enact Improved Medicare for All (MFA). While the ACA remains deeply flawed, it offers life-saving coverage for millions of Americans. Get more info. and sign up here.
