Last week we wrote, “No rest for the weary. After working hectic and grueling hours for months and stepping it up last week—making phone calls, knocking doors, and mobilizing voters—Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) activists like you had earned a day (or week) of solid rest. Unfortunately, that is just not to be.”

Little did we know, that would be an understatement. We’ve been busier than ever this past week. Even as our election protection work continues, we’re also promoting peace, protecting the free press, and mobilizing for Medicare for All within a growing coalition—all with our re-elected and newly-elected allies in Congress.

We’ve been fighting for every vote, and it’s paid off with hard-won victories in Orange County, CA. Our California co-coordinator Dr. Bill Honigman and our California PDA activists pitched in to help our endorsed candidates Katie Porter and Harley Rouda win election to Congress this week. The work goes on! Please donate generously to our emergency election protection fund and/or volunteer to work with Mike Fox, our phone team and volunteer coordinator.

With newly elected progressives joining our progressive heroes, we’re gearing up for the reintroduction of Medicare for All legislation in the House by Rep. Primila Jayapal and the Senate by Sen. Bernie Sanders. We look forward to working to pass comprehensive legislation to date that will guarantee high quality healthcare fo everyone in the U.S.A. With all medically necessary care including longterm, dental, hearing, pharmaceuticals, and eye care, with no copays, deductibles, caps, or limits.
