Unlike most organizations, Progressive Democrats Of America (PDA) works using an “inside / outside” strategy. Many other organizations work inside power structures, and many work on the outside, but PDA acts as an essential bridge, bringing the passion and urgency of outside organizing into the halls of power.

For example, last September when young people led millions of climate strikers around the world demanding decisive action to address the Climate Emergency, PDA had their backs.

When climate activists brought direct action into the streets of Washington, D.C. PDA continued to support their “outside” efforts with “inside” organizing.

PDA and allied activists helped to close the deal by leading grassroots lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill September 24th and September 25th, urging Senators and Representatives to cosponsor the Climate Emergency Concurrent Resolution. We also helped set up a briefing for Hill staffers.
