The reality of mass homelessness in the United States has been a blight on our society since the 1980s. Now, four decades later it has reached unprecedented levels.

The time is well past for all people of conscience to declare “No More.” Yes, Housing is a Human Right. That means the tacit acceptance by U.S. political leaders and their backers of mass homelessness is a human rights violation.

Since the Bernie Sanders campaign in 2016, progressives have unified behind the slogan Health Care is a Human Right. From this weekend forward, PDA will insist the progressive movement do the same behind the slogan (and the practice of) Housing is a Human Right.
