Solidarity Trumps Trump
By Mike Hersh for Donna, Mike F., Dr. Bill, Judy, Janis, Dan, Deb, Kimberly, Bryan, and Amos—Your PDA National Team
Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) supports improved Medicare for All, also called “Single Payer.” Because Medicare for All / Single Payer is so popular, backing progressive healthcare policies will help us build political support to flip Florida. Help us build the Healthcare is a Human Right movement in Florida, and help us pick up seats in Congress and the Florida legislature.
This Friday, PDA and allies will convene the Florida Healthcare Summit, bringing nationally-renowned policy analysts and grass roots activists together to develop and implement campaigns to guarantee healthcare for all Floridians within 2 years. Nina Turner, PDA Board Member and NNU’s Michael Lighty, Rep. Alan Grayson, Tim Canova, Mike Papantonio, Nicole Sandler, Gerald Friedman, Rep. Lois Frankel, our own Mike Fox, and many more will be speaking and organizing with us there. If you can get to West Palm Beach, click here for a special ticket for PDA members only.
Can’t get to the Summit? Please click here and give generously to our solidarity fund. Donations of $100 or more will be featured in the official program. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Your support will help us make Expanded And Improved Medicare For All a reality.

We need your help to effectively organize for Medicare For All / Single Payer healthcare. This is proven sound policy that would save lives while saving taxpayers and consumers hundreds of $billions each year by establishing a publicly-financed system that would guarantee a single standard of high-quality care for all without any financial barriers. That means no bills, no co-pays, no deductibles, and no medically-caused bankruptcies.
Nationally, PDA is committed to Improved Medicare for All. We also support efforts for Single Payer healthcare in various states including—California, Florida, Colorado, and Maryland.
Several individuals and PDA state and local chapters have already made solidarity donations, including—AZ: Phoenix and Tucson; TX: Austin; CA: Fresno; IL: Chicago, Central IL, So. IL People For Progress; MD: State Chapter; MA: State Chapter; WI: Madison Chapter; FL: Pinellas County Chapter; and NM: State Chapter. Will you be next?
