Of the bills now active in the House only the DREAM Act (HR 3440) has overwhelming support of the American people and traction in Click here to contact your Representative, and tell him or her to bring the bipartisan, overwhelmingly popular Dream Act (HR 3440) to the House floor, to cosponsor it, and to work for its quick passage. House Speaker Paul Ryan refuses to allow debate in the House, but after tomorrow he may not have a choice. As reported by Politico, House Republicans careen toward immigration showdown—GOP leaders have tried but so far failed to blunt an effort by moderates to force a floor vote on DACA,(Politico 06/04/2018).
Several months after Trump rescinded the Obama-era initiative, multiple deadlines have come and gone to fix DACA. Young people who have lived here most of their lives and are in every sense Americans are still being used as pawns in partisan political games. We have one last chance to move DACA forward before the midterms. Click here to demand a fair up or down vote on the bipartisan, overwhelmingly popular DREAM Act.
