Update on Reproductive Justice: Join Our Healthcare Emergency Town Hall Sunday, 4pm Eastern/1pm Pacific

Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) advocates for full #ReproductiveHealthcare because #ReproductiveJustice is #HealthcareJustice.  Unimpeded access to safe, legal, and equitable abortion services is a hallmark of most industrialized countries.

PDA agrees. #AbortionIsHealthcare, and we must #DefendAbortion.

The United States, as the wealthiest country in the world but the country most beholden to wasteful and immoral commercial interests—especially Big Insurance and Big Pharma—already underperforms in terms of health outcomes. We have the worst life expectancy compared to those industrialized countries that provide universal care, and most shamefully we are the world’s leader in the national tragedy and inequity of #COVID19 deaths. And the suffering and loss of life will only worsen with this reanimation of the public health menace of blocked access to abortion services, thanks to the Trumpublicans in Texas and those on the U.S. Supreme Court.

It’s never been more urgent to be in this fight for reproductive justice and healthcare justice to codify Roe v. Wade into law, to repeal the Hyde Amendment, to move forward now with #MedicareExpansion, and as quickly as possible to enact and implement #SinglePayer improved and fully expanded #MedicareForAll.
