Rapid Response: Tell Senators to Advance Infrastructure Bill, then Let the Debate Begin

A Procedural Vote is Scheduled for Wednesday:
Call Your Senators Today

Republicans need to put up or shut up. If they are serious about a bipartisan infrastructure bill, they need to vote this week to advance the bipartisan framework agreement.

Majority Leader Schumer formally set a procedural vote to invoke cloture and advance the $1.2 trillion bipartisan deal on traditional infrastructure for Wednesday. It needs 60 votes to pass. Call your Senators right now and urge them to vote yes in order to advance this critically needed legislation.

Only pressure from voters will convince Senators to act in the best interests of the country.

Contact your Senators now—calls are best—and tell them they need to vote for cloture to begin the debate and amendment process on the Senate floor for the bipartisan infrastructure bill. Let us know if you’ve acted.

There is much in this bill that we disagree with, as it has been outlined – in particular, the amount of privatization involved and the underfunding of rail and electric vehicle infrastructure.  Still, we need infrastructure spending in all the sectors that this bill addresses. So, let’s overcome the cloture hurdle and begin the debate about the proposals in this legislation!

If you will continue working with us on this issue in other ways, let us know.

As always, a contribution to help support our work is greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for anything you can do.
