Building On The Successes Of The Big Health Care Summit

A huge coalition including PDA, National Nurses United, Our Revolution, Healthcare-Now, Social Security Works, NOW and others brought together activists and policy analysts with the goal of bringing health care as a human right to all Floridians and folks across the country.

Featured speakers included Nina Tuner of Our Rev., Toni Van Pelt of NOW, Michael Lighty of National Nurses United, Bernie Sanders economist Gerald Friedman, and more.

PDA was well-represented as I was joined by PDA Broward County chair Mitchell Stollberg, PDA Palm Beach Chair Cameron Stempel, and PDA mega vols Steve Thursby, Shel Keitel, Rick Neuhoff, and more as we helped keep the trains running on time.

Among the highlights: Rep. Lois Frankel came on board with HR676: Expanded and improved Medicare For All!

And not only was it educational and a tremendous organizing opportunity, we even found some time to work the streets outside of the hotel, just blocks from Trump’s Mar-A-Largo in West Palm Beach.
