Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) joined our many coalition partners earlier this week in celebrating another momentous hearing in the U.S. House of Representatives, this time in the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, as H.R.1976, The National Medicare for All Act, was presented as the leading bill to provide equity and efficiency in healthcare for everyone living in these United States.

One after another of our champions in the House, along with stirring testimony from patients and experts alike, told how it will save money, lots of money, and save lives, lots of lives.

Furthermore, the COVID-19 pandemic was referenced time and time again in the hearing as proof of the immediate need for this action now, before countless more die or suffer unnecessarily from this still lingering disease, and other new diseases predicted to be headed our way due to the climate crisis.
