Critically Important Work Continues: Here’s How You Can Help

In what has been a rather tough week, we are still in awe of the hundreds who were arrested in DC for voting rights, and revel in the power of a single woman — Rep. Cori Bush — sleeping on the steps of the Capitol and demanding the evictions moratorium be extended. She won a huge victory with her impassioned plea.

Then along came the extension on student debt relief.

While the road towards the change we need is a long one, we do see victories if we just stay the course and keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Let’s all work together this upcoming week to bring home more victories!

  • Help make the country healthier.

  • Combat the attack on our right to vote.  Join a #RecessCanWait Voting Rights Rally near you.    Become a local Congressional Office Liaison. Work with others in your area to promote progressive legislation and stop the filibuster in the Senate. Sign up here.
  • For “Clicktivists”: Sign and share this petition to stop the filibuster.  Contact your Senators and tell them to expand Medicare coverage, invest in clean energy and infrastructure, and follow Bernie’s lead in the upcoming massive reconciliation bill. Also, tell them to pass the For The People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, and to find a way around the filibuster if need be.  “Like” our Facebook page, and/or follow us on Twitter, if you’re a social media maven.
