Much Done, and Much More to Do:
Here’s How We Can Move Forward to Build the Resistance

First, we thank you so much if you were active with us over the past week.

While there’s no question the news over the past week from DC has been tough to swallow. This was only made more challenging by the passing of Congressman, PDA Advisory Board Member, longtime friend and progressive icon Raúl Grijalva after a long battle with cancer on Thursday.

But there were some bright spots to give us hope. We had our largest attendance ever for last Sunday’s Progressive Town Hall, interest in getting involved to help combat Musk, Trump, and MAGA continues to rise, and we’re confident that folks see the need to be active in their communities across the country.

On the phones, at the doors, in the streets, in the suites, and on social media we’ll continue to work on building local action teams focused on protecting those community members who are especially potentially vulnerable.

And at the same time we’ll work to bring home wins in the Special Elections for Congress in FL-01 and FL-06, and in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race with the elections in the first week of April, and vote by mail ballots in voters’ hands right now.

Please join us as we continue to work to bring peace and justice for all via progressive campaigns.

1) Progressive Virtual Town Hall Sunday: Building The Resistance. A jam-packed event with a tribute to Raúl Grijalva’s life of progressive action along with Special Guests Gay Valimont, progressive candidate for Congress in the Special Election for Matt Gaetz’s old seat, FL-01, and Progressive Cndidate for Mayor of Aurora, IL (the second largest city in the state), John Laesch. You’ll leave with a renewed sense of hope, purpose, and solidarity. Click here to register. Space limited. (We’ve also beefed up protocols to keep our meetings safe for all. Please make sure you have the latest version of zoom installed.)

2) Join the National Phone Team. Sign up with this juggernaut and make a real difference an hour here, an hour there, on your schedule. Let us know what day you can set an hour aside, and we’ll get you cookin’ calling fellow PDA folks. We’ll make sure you’re doing something easy but productive!

3) Help Build Your Local Chapter. We’re looking for folks willing to invest an hour or more per month. If that’s you, click here and we’ll connect you with the Local Action Team.

4) For “Clicktivists”—Sign/Share:

Thanks so much for anything you can do today for all our tomorrows. Let’s get to work!

In solidarity,

Mike Fox for the PDA National Team
