First and foremost, we hope that you and your loved ones are staying safe and having a glorious holiday season.

Ours was made happier this week with the Kellogg’s strikers winning a solid contract. Many thanks to those who made calls, showed up to picket lines, and boycotted Kellogg’s cereal brands in solidarity, and we now hope you’ll continue to support the workers by buying a Kellogg’s cereal product or two. (See special campaign below.)

This week also saw more good news on the road to justice for those who incited or participated in the January 6th insurrection, as the House committee is uncovering more damning evidence and putting teeth into the process via the DOJ. We will continue our push to support the committee and the DOJ.

It’s been another busy week, and the one coming will be just as active. Please join us in one or more of the following actions:

• Progressive Virtual Town Hall Sunday: Special Omicron Update and Strategy Session on How to Win in 2022. Join us as we discuss how to stay safe and bring home victories in this vital 2022 cycle. Also, if the holidays have you down, this is a great opportunity to be surrounded by positive energy folks who can bring you some joy. If you haven’t already done so, RSVP here.
• Register now to join a local Save Our Democracy vigil Jan. 6—over 200 events across the country and growing as we call for unity as a nation, and for justice for those who attempted/continue to work towards a coup. Let us know if you want to participate in an event near you.
• Show solidarity with workers by purchasing one or more boxes of Kellogg’s cereal products, take a selfie with your purchase, and email it to us so we can include you in our collage to company management, telling them we’ve stopped our boycott and are now buying because they listened to their workers.
• Join the National Phone Team. Make easy calls from home to fellow PDA folks to ensure they’re in the know about important actions and candidates. We work 7 days a week, so whenever is good for you is good for us. Click here to join.
• Become a local Congressional Office Liaison. Work with others in your area to promote progressive legislation and end the filibuster in the Senate. Sign up here.
• For “Clicktivists”: Sign the petition to limit the most polluting gas: Methane.  Help save the Post Office by supporting postal banking. Help cap insulin prices. Support the expansion of Social Security by becoming a grassroots cosponsor of the Social Security Act of 2021. Then contact your Senators and tell them to follow Bernie’s lead re: the Build Back Better reconciliation bill. Also, tell them to pass the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, and to find a way around the filibuster if need be.
