First, we hope you and yours are having a glorious holiday season.

As we connect with family and friends, we’ve also been working hard over the past week to defeat Sen. Manchin’s Dirty Deal energy bill—3 wins and counting, as this zombie is likely to show back up next week—along with working to help railroad workers get their well deserved sick days via the Executive Branch after the House and Senate failed, and standing with striking workers from California to New York.

We’ll continue working to bring home progressive legislation in the lame-duck session, and stand for our democracy against the fascist Trumpists who are trying to turn the U.S. into an authoritarian state.

• Progressive Virtual Town Hall Sunday: Healthcare for All, and More. Join Dr. Bill and activists across the country as we discuss how Expanded and Improved Medicare for All is the answer to combating pandemics, and keeping us all healthier in general. • Host or attend a January 6th memorial event near you. Hundreds of events nationwide will bring attention to how we must make sure it never happens again, and how we combat the ongoing Trumpist attacks on democracy. Click here to get connected.
• Join the National Phone Team. Sign up with this juggernaut and make a real difference an hour here, an hour there, on your schedule. Sign up here, let us know what day you can set an hour aside, and we’ll get you cookin’ calling fellow PDA folks. We’ll make sure you’re doing something easy but productive!
• Become a local Congressional Office Liaison. Work with others in your area to promote progressive legislation. Sign up here and we’ll get you all the training you need to be successful.
• For “Clicktivists”:
  • Contact your Senators to beat down any new attempt to pass Sen. Manchin’s Dirty Energy Deal, and to support an assault weapons ban.
  • Tell President Biden to declare a Climate Emergency.
  • Sign the petition to help us get the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) certified NOW.
  • Tell Congress to enact federal abortion protections.
  • “Like” our Facebook page and/or follow us on CounterSocial and/or Mastodon, if you’re a social media maven.
