As Trump took an $83 million hit from the jury in the E. Jean Carroll defamation case, and President Biden paused the approval of the massive liquified natural gas (LNG) export terminal called Calcasieu Pass 2 (CP2) and 16 other pending LNG decisions—a huge victory for all of us in the Climate Emergency movement—we’ve spent the week organizing and talking to voters for progressive candidates across the country, held our monthly Disabilities Issue Organizing Team meeting, and focused efforts on Ro Khanna’s H.R. 6270, “State-Based Universal Health Care Act.”  

We’ve also spent the past week working for peace, domestically and internationally, and we’ve been working for social, economic, and racial justice, as well. 

We have a packed week before us, and we hope you’ll join us in our actions!

1) Progressive Virtual Town Hall Sunday: Defeating Trumpists with Progressive Candidates and Policies. Join our featured guest Rep. Jesus “Chuy” Garcia as we discuss his campaign, DC and more, then we roll out the new progressive platform that will be presented to the DNC for the convention in Chicago. You’ll leave energized, organized, and definitely more hopeful. We hope you’ll join us. 

2) Join the National Phone Team. Sign up with this juggernaut and make a real difference an hour here, an hour there, on your schedule. Sign up here, let us know what day you can set an hour aside, and we’ll get you cookin’ calling fellow PDA folks. We’ll make sure you’re doing something easy but productive!

3) Become a local Congressional Office Liaison. Work with others in your area to promote progressive legislation. Sign up here and we’ll get you all the training you need to be successful.
