Deb Haaland is a truly groundbreaking nominee to the Secretary of the Interior. Deb will be the first Indigenous person to lead the department of the Federal Government that oversees the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Deb is also a Dakota Access Pipeline water protector, a Green New Deal cosponsor, and a fossil fuel fighter—a true climate champion.
Deb Haaland is the right person to lead the U.S. Department of the Interior.
So, of course, the extraction industries and its allies in the Republican Party are aiming to defeat her nomination.

Deb Haaland should absolutely be confirmed as Secretary of the Interior. As a Native American leader she will be the best of stewards of our lands and resources and, not incidentally, our climate concerns; no one could be better. Please confirm her without delay!
