There’s a clear choice in Saturday’s special election to replace Cedric Richmond, who has joined the Biden Administration, in Louisiana’s 2nd Congressional district. The race is between Karen Carter Peterson and Troy Carter.

Both candidates are Democrats, but only one has promised to be a co-sponsor of Medicare for All, only one supports the Green New Deal, only one has remained true to the no fossil fuel money pledge, only one has a campaign website that loudly proclaims her policy positions and her support for the Pro Act, comprehensive immigration reform, the USPS, broad investment in infrastructure, environmental justice, progressive criminal justice reform, and innumerable other PDA-supported policy positions.

That candidate is Karen Carter Peterson, and PDA is proud to endorse her for Congress.
