If ever there was a time to step up and support the progressive agenda, this is it.  Here’s what Ryan Grim, the excellent political reporter for The Intercept and The Hill said about the on-going negotiations over the $3.5 Trillion Reconciliation Bill:

We are now embarking on what are likely to be the most important four to eight weeks of non-electoral political maneuvering in more than fifty years.

Grim is 100% correct.  Not only is the Reconciliation package full of strong progressive policies, but the very fact of its passage will be a game changer – opening up new possibilities for more progressive programs and policies to be passed by Congress that address the many inequalities that plague American society.

Nothing like this has been done by Congress on behalf of the American people since Ronald Reagan was elected President in 1980.

The margins in both the House and the Senate are razor thin.

Therefore, we at PDA, are calling on all of our supporters – that’s you – to reach out to your Congress people and your Senators and register your support for a complete $3.5 Trillion Reconciliation Bill.
