We will not Sit Idly by and Let Our Military be used to Commit Unthinkable Crimes Against the Palestinian People.
We are writing to let you know that Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) will organize day and night, night and day – alongside all of our allied organizations – until Donald Trump 100% rescinds his plan to use the US military to complete a genocide by ethnically cleansing the Gaza Strip of Palestinians.
We expect all good people of conscience to join with us.
Donald Trump’s unhinged performance on Tuesday, in his press conference beside the war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu, was so outrageous (even given Trump’s absurd standards) that it was hard not to feel it was a surreal lampoon. There he was, the President of the United States, openly calling for his country to participate in a genocide – in order to build a new “Riviera.”
But this is no joke. It’s reality; and it’s as treacherous a moment as can be imagined.
So, we do not hesitate for one moment. The organizing begins now. Share this statement with your family, friends, co-workers, and everyone you know.
We stand with the Palestinian people and their right to land, self-determination, human and civil rights, and the full protection of international law.
We will do everything in our power to block a US invasion of the Gaza Strip.
And, together with you, we will succeed.

This is a totally outlandish, and hypocritical idea. Donald Trump, with the help of Elon Musk, seems to be intent upon cutting costs, by doing things like putting an end to USAID, laying off hundreds of Federal workers, particularly those FBI agents who did their duty by investigating the unconstitutional insurrection of 6 January 2021.
Any attempt to place Gaza under US control, without the intervention of American military forces, would lead to an expensive, in terms of both blood and treasure, increase in the intensity of the violent, and destructive Palestinian insurgency, which would leave the United States with nothing more than another war, in addition to the similar expenses, in blood, treasure, and international disrepute, which Trump’s intentions to take over Greenland, and the Panama Canal Zone, would generate, as well.
This ideas is absurd no matter how much we need peace in that area. It will only bring more strife to the region and appear to be a colonialistic and capitalistic move by a most corrupt president and premier of Israel.
Because of his involvement with Netanyahu, Trump suddenly cares about Gaza. I doubt he even knew it existed prior to this time.
The suffering there is horrific and making it the Mid-East Riviera will not alleviate it at all.
