First, many thanks to those who have done congressional office visits and calls to congress re: the #PeoplesPlatform and the Summer For Progress campaign.

Today we have our massive coalition push for a single day of calls flooding congressional offices.

Step 1:  Click here to see where your congressperson stands on each of the 8 bills.

Step 2:  Call 844-266-4612. If your Rep is only short on a couple of the bills, ask that he or she support the specific bills they’re short on.  If they’re short on more than 2 tell the person that all 8 of the bills can be found at www.summerforprogress.com/platform and get a commitment that someone in the office will look at the site.

Step 3:  Reply to this email and let us know who you called, and how the call went.  This is as important for the campaign as you making the call in the first place, so please report in!

This is an opportunity for us to make sure Democrats start legislating like the Democratic Party’s platform presents, and to let Republicans know that bills that start in the middle and get negotiated to the right are not acceptable.
